Update #14 - Where I make some BIG exciting changes and realign my focus

This is where I share what I’ve been up to behind the scenes to move my art career forward - the good, the bad, and the as-yet-to-be-determined. 

There are some BIG changes afoot for Elinor Trier Studio this summer, and I am so excited to share them with you! Here are the latest updates:

New messaging, and a new website!

For the last couple of months I've been doing a deep, deep dive into the messaging around my business, my ideal customer/collectors, and how I present my artwork to you, the viewer, in a way that makes sense to both of us.

It's been an incredibly difficult proposition, because whilst I believe wholeheartedly that art should speak for itself, I am also very aware that on the internet it's a lot more difficult to capture the essence and energy of a piece of work, so the audience might need a little extra help.

Anyway, with the help of a few people who understand my work as much if not more than I do (!), I'm delighted to have figured it out and you can see the results on my completely revamped website. Do have a browse whilst you’re here.

No more marketing consulting

As a result of this work, I've decided to realign my focus with making and selling my own work (thank you to everyone who's bought a piece of my work so far - you are amazing!), and away from helping others with their marketing.

That means I've closed down my Patreon, I'll not be doing the Rose/Bud/Thorn updates for a while, and whilst I still have a few open slots for 1:1 consulting in August I'll be closing those down soon too.

The Making Money As An Artist business course is currently still on the cards for 2025, but if/when it does go ahead it will be hosted by the funding organisation instead of by me directly.

A whole new weekly newsletter!

Those of you who have been with me a while will be delighted to hear that I'm bringing back weekly newsletters! Yes, they'll be on a Sunday, yes, they'll be chockablock with the curated goodies you've always loved from me, but this time the focus is going to be not on business, but on art, neurodivergence & queer identities.

That means we'll be talking about things like: masking/passing, the outsider experience, my favourite non-conformists in art & history, self-advocacy, communication, rebellion, secret languages, and so much more! I cannot WAIT - the first one drops Sunday 11th August (enter your details below to sign up!).

An imminent collection drop!

I've saved the best until last here, and that is that my Tussie Mussie painting collection will be available for you to buy online on September 8th! You'll be getting a couple of extra emails around that time to let you know what's occurring, but I'm currently looking into options for payment plans, and maybe getting some limited edition prints made too - watch this space!
